This shows the most improvement by having my shading get better with each drawing. The most difficult part was getting it to look like popcorn but the easiest part was getting the black background whiter. This will help me by helping me apply this to different projects.
The thing that showed my most improvement was making the shading actually go from light to dark no mixing of shading. The most difficult part was using the pen and ink but using charcoal was very easy. This will definitely make me a better artist by making me shade and use values a lot easier.
I grew as an artist in all speculation by making all of skills better my elements, my design, and everything. If I could start again I would try to do exactly like I did because I like it the way it is and I think it was to my limit of my abilities. I did meet my goals when it came to this piece but I also surpassed my goals. I chose to present it digitally because I like the way it looks on portfolio page and my biggest risk was trying to make a full chess board and it turned out perfect.
I decided to use my elements and principles to make bold hard lines evenly spaced to make a powerful message. I used my tools to make a hard look which is different than I usually do. Doing this was a great risk but as you can see it turned out great.
I was told my elements and principles were great for my drawing so I decided to go back an darken lines and erase smudges to make it look better. Doing this I knew when looking at it this was better than before.
I am doing well in my project on get the proportions well drawn. So far I haven't run into any real problems. One thing I did change though was I wanted my pieces to look more cartoonic and not really "real".
What inspired me on this topic was the multiple perspectives drawings of chess board. I mainly got these inspirations from my drawing teacher Mrs. Singleton and an artist named FerioWind. Other artists approached this topic steadily and learned it is a good topic to use or have. I think I show up in my drawings mainly how they present themselves like I do. So I think my ideas show in this by having my unique aura show up in this where it wouldn't in others. So my goal for this is to bring out a great drawing people can look at and enjoy while saying "that's cool".
I think in this drawing I definitly improved greatly on perspectives on objects big or small. While doing this I had a lot of trouble of having two platforms in the drawing which is ground and counter in this drawing but I did do well on the details on my objects. This shows I'm am already getting better as an artist compared the begin.
I had improvement by having life like gestures. I did have trouble with the skeleton but it was easy for the gesture. This will make me improve as an artist by making more life like drawing.
I grew as an artist doing this by finding out sometimes you don't have stay in the box because we're aloud to think out of it. If I redid it I would probably added more of the PS3 cord of the controller to the picture more. My goal of growing as an artist and make a good piece worked out well. I'm going to present this by making it look perfect in the picture because it will seem more professional like. My biggest risk which I did perfectly was making a lot of intresting shapes with the negative space.
